Setting your quest tasks

Now that our quest rewards are in place, we arrive at the quest creation processes’s final step: setting tasks. In this part of the course, you’ll find a guide to adding a few simple tasks to your quest, and learn the function of those tasks.

The Task Settings page

The final step of the quest creation process is Task Settings, in which you can decide what types of activities you would like your participants to perform and verify before completing the quest claiming their rewards. For many of the task types on Galxe Quest, the task can be added to your quest by configuring 1 or 2 required settings, and verified using data Galxe already has access to through various sources. For example, a Twitter Follower task can be set by inputting a Twitter Profile URL, and Galxe is able to verify the task using Twitter API data. The following steps guide you through how to set up a quest according to the plan we have for Galxe Creative Center Courses’ first quest:

1. Click Set up Task Group from the center of the screen.
2. Select the Space User task type from the menu that appears.
   1. Check that the task is set to Follow Space = Yes.
   2. Setting the task in this way requires quest participants to follow your Galxe Space, meaning your space’s quests will be more visible across the Galxe Quest platform.
3. Select Twitter Follower from the task type menu.
   1. Input your Twitter Profile Link in the required field.
   2. Toggle on Authentic Verification.
   3. Setting the task in this way requires quest participants to follow your Twitter account, and verifies task completion using Twitter’s API data.
4. Select Twitter Bullish About from the task type menu.
   1. Input your Twitter Profile Link in the required field.
   2. Input any hashtags you would like included in the bullish Twitter posts by typing the hashtags and pressing Enter on your keyboard.
   3. Setting the task in this way requires quest participants to make a Twitter post containing bullish content about your Twitter account which includes the hashtags you input in this step.
5. Input the number of Points to be awarded after participants have completed all tasks.
6. Click Release if you’re ready to make the quest available for participation.
