A tour of the Snapshot Vote task type and its features
The Snapshot Vote task type on Galxe Quest is a no-code solution for verifying the voters in a particular Snapshot proposal on snapshot.org, a voting platform. When a quest participant clicks the verify button of a Snapshot Vote task, Galxe verifies the task by comparing two relevant data points.The first data point is the participant’s EVM address bound to their Galxe Account. The second data point is the data of which EVM addresses have voted in a particular Snapshot proposal which Galxe pulls from Snapshot’s data. If the user’s Galxe Account-bound wallet address can be matched with a wallet address that has voted in the Snapshot proposal, then the task will be verified. If no match is found, the task verification fails.
The Snapshot Vote task type works with any existing proposal on snapshot.org.
To create a Snapshot Vote task on Galxe Quest, you will need the URL of the Snapshot Proposal for which you would like to incentivize voting in your task. An example of a Snapshot Proposal URL is as follows:
